Ok so I’ve bitten the bullet and joined the gym. I had my first session with a personal trainer on Tuesday for one hour and have one booked for tomorrow too. How long will it take before I notice a difference?

I thought I was reasonably fit: didn't get breathless when walking briskly but didn't run or swim. My "circuit" was a 15-minute warmup - bike and treadmill - 10-15 minutes on different weight machines then a 15-minute swim. so 45-60 minutes. I have been doing three sessions a week. After a couple of weeks I started to increase the intensity (but not the duration) - so running not walking, heavier weights for longer and a quicker swim.
