M R S A: I-F Test Is -Ve / +Ve Prior To Hospital-Admission?

If this swab-test is negative, one does not harbour such Staphylococcus varieties.

B_U_T, I am due to go to a clinic, where there are two-bedded rooms.
--Could one be 'infected' by a patient who was tested positive and openly sneezes and/or is unhygienic?
(With colds and sneezes more commonplace at this time of year, one is obviously more prone to such modes of infection.)

Apart from donning a NASA space-suit, would robust hygiene mitigate such germ-infection from a positive MRSA-source? Must/can one adopt other measures to limit this?

Robust hygiene is helpful but unfortunatel y some of our hospitals aren't renowned for that. I think everyone is tested prior to entering hospital for surgery. They certainly are in our local hospital. Nevertheless , that doesn't mean they won't contract MRSA - and they don't need to be sharing a room to do it. They certainly are in our local hospital. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean they won't contract MRSA - and they don't need to be sharing a room to do it. It isn't spread through coughs and sneezes like a cold - it's spread through open wounds and can be carried on pretty much anything the wound might come into contact with. My husband tested negative. That didn't help him though.
