Just Back From Opticians.

Right eye perfect. Cataract implant in left eye seems to be a bit cloudy. Referred for laser treatment. Seems it is quite common for implants to deteriorate.

Anyone else had this done ?

Strange that a fall two months ago triggered this.

Around 10% of people get this after surgery, hope you don't wait too log for the laser correction.

Hi Mamya. About 8 weeks they said. Apparently a long waiting list at Blackpool so referred to a private hospital in Bolton who take on NHS patients. Both implants done about three years ago, strange that a fall would do this.

No, but rather worrying. I had both my eyes done 2 months ago and I don't want anything disturbed.

You get quite used to one good eye and one good ear.

Doesn't matter, it's probably the newer one in the town centre specialising in vision.

lens clouding after cataract is common and well treated as they plan for you

Beaumont is a chain of private hospitals
BUT the NHS has been buy8ing in operations as they can be kept ;clean' - (covid free)
system works quite well

I had clouding with both my cataract lenses after about five years and was fortunate to get laser treatment on the NHS within a month. The effect was amazing and far less stressful. Good luck, SK.
