China is a massive country, nearly 40 times the size of the UK. Although Covid-19 was first identified in the local area around Wuhan, most of the rest of the country has largely remain Covid-free. (The Wuhan outbreak was brought under control remarkably swiftly too). So the test kits have been imported from country which actually has one of the lowest rates of Covid in the world.
Your logic seems to me to be akin to someone in China receiving a test kit labelled 'Made in the EU' to identify a different disease, which was only ever prevalent in Greece (where it had long since been eradicated anyway), panicking just because the kit was manufactured in Norway!
The majority of the UK population have been putting disposable face masks, nearly all made in China, over their mouths and noses for many months now. I'm unaware of anyone contracting Covid-19 from them!
