Horrible Blood Pressure Medication

I've had high blood pressure for a long time, and tried three different types of medication. All three resulted in me having very very heavy legs. I struggle with my mobility, so this made things even more difficult. The cardiologist told me not to take them, but didn't give me any other solution other than tell me to lose weight, which has proven to be very hard during menopause.
has anybody else experienced ridiculously heavy legs, or had success with any other method to lower blood pressure?

losing weight is the solution - I'm trying to shed two and a half  stone plus off me - and, for my sins, I now have a venous ulcer..... nine pounds down from Jan 2nd.....

Ezetimibe (10mg daily) appears to have reduced my BP over a long period of time(6 months plus). Is that one of the three you've tried ?

P.S. Also low-cholesterol diet over same period.

You could also make changes to your diet, trying to include foods that help reduce BP. I have beetroot juice and blueberries every day and lots ogf grains.

Ive been on 4 different meds for blood pressure.

Each one has made me ill.

(stomach cramps, dizziness, sickness etc)

Just thought, "Stuff it" in the end!

Still got high blood pressure,

can't be arrissed anymore and I'm just fine...

I take 3 tablets daily medication for BP.

Thankfully no obvious side effects now. Very overweight too.

Added to that I was diagnosed with Diabetis a few months ago..I don't want to start medication so took my GPs advise to try and alter the blood sugars with diet.  Loose weight if possible.

I started that day following a low carb high protein diet..for the sugar, but it's also enabled me to lose over 2 stone in weight.  The blood sugar reading reduced too.

I'm thankful to be given that chance.

It's been the easiest way of eating I've ever done..worth a try..

One is just fine, until the moment one ain't.

Speak to your GP. And lose weight, of course.
