Before you ask,I have already made a doctors appointment for next tuesday - I can't see the really good doctor before then and the only one free is the one who nobody is keen on and who's opinion I wouldn't value too much. Basically,in the last 2 months I have put on over a stone very quickly, without changing my diet whatsoever.I have always been a curvy girl, but luckily always had a flat tummy. Now my tummy, and general abdomen area is very swollen,I look 4 months pregnant at least, but it is not rock hard.I cannot do up 90% of my clothes.I have dieted but has made no difference. Now for the last week I have been sick occasionally, and also felt very nauseous. The top of my abdomen especially feels very tender,at top of rib cage just below breasts.I am having trouble eating - I feel very hungry but after 5 or 6 mouthfuls the food feels as though it is sticking,in the same area where it feels uncomfy, and so the rest of the meal becomes very hard to eat - I certainly don't enjoy it.It hurts to lay on my tummy in bed.I just feel very very uncomfortable and am scared as to what it wrong.I am not pregnant.I have taken 2 tests which are negative and I also had my periods.I have looked on NHS DIRECT website but can't find anything similar.Any idea's?

I just wonder if it is either a hiatus hernia or gall bladder as these are sometimes the symptoms, I remember mum cooking dinner and being able to only eat three mouthfuls,

be thinking of you, you keep us cheerful
An ovarian cyst? (This is a guess and you need a professional medical opinion)
Hi Pinkfizz sorry to hear you are not feeling so good.I have an underactive thyroid that made me put on weight, and still have it. so that could be a reason. And by the sounds of the tummy being tender it could be a bug of some sort. I had it last week. mind you I also had an upset tummy. but was sick and felt nauseous all week. couldnt eat or even drink tea or coffee. just drunk lemonade that made me feel better. Try some fizzy lemonade it may help you as well.I do hope you might feel better tomorrow.love Brenda xx

Thankyou you three for taking the time to answer.I think it is more than a bug Brenda,it has been tender for weeks and weeks.I even got stopped in a shop by somebody I hadn't seen for a year and she congratulated me on my new pregnancy.I was so upset.I am getting very stressed by it as I look so different to how I usually do.Just hope the doctor takes me seriously.x
pinkfizz,
sorry you are feeling rotten,
can i ask over what period did your tummy swell,
if its tender this may indicate some sort of infection,
or even an abcess, infections in this part of the body
will not go away until treated and even get worse.
the fact that you are in pain ( i know this sounds daft )
may be a good sign.
my thoughs are with you xx
good luck for today Pink!
Are you up for a meet tomorrow or next weds?

Hi Red.I have been diagnosed with a pretty bad stomach ulcer, mainly due to stress.Have had some tests and been put on some medication.

Tomorrow or next week would be good - whichever suits you two.Just let me know.xx
aww Pink, thats not too good. I hope the medication helps a lot and you manage to find a way to ease the discomfort.

Shall contact 4get and email you.
Hi Pinkfizz sorry to hear you have an ulcer but at least you know what it is now. The tablets should calm it down and you will be feeling a lot better soon. take care. Brenda xx
