hot choclate drink is good for sleep but how long before bedtime should you drink it for best effect?

With Horlicks you take it at bedtime.
I use it as a wake up drink in the morn ing when its freezing... with all the sugar!
Try hot milk and honey.... delicious!
add a dash of whiskey in with milk n honey too! so tasty!!

horlicks doesnt work and i hate milk , honey , and whiskey!
It should be taken approx 30-45 mins before you want to sleep. I heard that hot milk has the same effect - something to do with the lactic acid
I always drink either hot chocy or horlicks. Routine is good for sleep so its good that your body gets used to associating a certain thing with 'just before bedtime.'
Also it warms you up and it's easier to sleep warm.
My doc warned me off hot chocolate drinks- said some had more caffeine than tea! Just warm milk.
