home carers play an important part in delivery of care services today. Do there status and training reflect this importance and if not,why not?

Boiled down to its bare essentials... no, they don't have the status they deserve,basically because it has been decided that it would cost too much.
Lazygun is right hinchcliffe. Im a carer to my youngest son (Age 21). At the moment many are campaigning for carer's who's allowance is stopped when they become pensioner's. We, as carer's save the health service thousand's so to stop the carer claiming his/her allowance is appalling! "Yours" magazine for the over 50's is carrying out the campaign and I hope with their help all carer's will be allowed to carry on claiming the carer's allowance once they become pensioner's.!
