A couple of years ago I was 22 stone and now I am down to 18 and a bit.

I plan to lose some weight for my friend's wedding at the end of July.

Just now I have no energy but should that change if I lose weight?

I would have thought losing weight will help. It will give you a boost and you should feel less lethargic. As well as healthy eating, make sure you get plenty of exercise (horrible thought but great once you're doing it!). You obvioulsy know what to do, having lost four stone previously, but make sure you dont starve yourself as this won't do your energy levels any good. Good luck!
i think tea girl has answered your question there spot on, you will start to feel better as you gradelly loose the weight.
i know its hard theres just a couple of days where you start to think "I really cant be botherd" but its best to keep going

Congrats for loosing over 3 stone thats excellent how did you do it?
To be honest it sounds like you have the worst bit over with just carry on like you were.
It's not just the weight loss that'll make you feel better but by eating the correct foods.....generally foods with a low glycemic index, this usually makes the difference.

At times such as xmas, i tend to eat all manor of rubbish....all fatty, sugary foods which are high in bad carbohydrates. This would include bacon sarnies in crusty white bread, loads of pasta, biscuits and crisps....all bad for you !!! Add some serious alcohol intake into the equasion and you have a recipe for disaster.

This makes me sluggish and tired but as soon as i go back to work, i hit the salads, wholemeal bread, bottled water and porridge for breakfast and within a few days, i am back to normal.

1/2 hours excercise such as a very brisk walk at lunch time will also wake you up a bit.

Hope this helps and good luck with the weight loss

Thanks all - I suppose I knew the answers.

I have an insulin-resistance problem, too much of the stuff but it doesn't work as it should. I did a low-GI diet last time and was very good, but I did allow myself chocolate especially during my aggressive week just prior to my period. Me eating chocolate saves the lives of many stupid men.

I don't drink alcohol - but love all the things that hammerman says to avoid.

I had a male friend who lost loads of weight by having a pint of beer less per day - not fair!

Thanks all.
I joined david lloyd and they do a weight loss course which is dignified and really good, gradual weight loss and they really help you. Spent 60 mins doing cardio yesterday and burnt 650 cals! knackered this morning, but generally i feel great compared to when i was fatter. running is good, what ever your size, try amazon for good ones.
