talk to g p may prescribe long term antibiotics.
after having acne throughout my teens i thought it would go by the time i hit my 20s. sadly not. the doctor prescribed dianette, a contraception pill but its specifically designed with hormonal jiggery pockery to stop your spots. and for me it really worked.
I agree with other two, don't mess about with any over the counter stuff except Oxy but just use the cream, go to your doctor.

I was on antibiotics for two years but my doctor recently switched me to a topical antibiotic gel which I use at night & I use Oxy cream from Boots during the day.

I also found this book helpful.

did dianette get rid of it when you stopped taking it?i've heard you should not be on it too long. any info would be great

x
the doc said you should only be on dianette for about a year as it increases your blood pressure and being on it too long could be dangerous. i took it for just over a year and it cleared up all my spots, now ive stopped taking it i get the odd spot now and then but im sure thats just hormonal.
