Exercising when ill

Hi, I have just come down with a cold and i use a cross trainer every morning and eveing. Is it advisable to ease up when i am feeling under the weather or should i just carry on? I went on this morning and felt fine while i was on it but was sneezing and sniffing again once i was off! Any advice appreciated, thanks.
