Painful Eyes

I know there's much going around at the moment in terms of colds and flu etc. but I've had extremely painful eyes for 3 days now without feeling any other symptoms of being unwell. I wake up with 'glassy' feeling eyes but within a couple of hours I can't keep them open any longer. They're very red and sore but not itchy - nor do they have any discharge so I don't think it's conjunctivitus. I drove home from work this afternoon (needing to come home and sleep for an hour) and how I didn't kill myself driving I'll never know! Won't be getting in a car when it's sunny until this is gone. Have been using drops throughout the day and lacrilube at night but to no avail. Anyone else suffering anything similar?

Hi scooby....Are you suffering from dry eyes..That can be very uncomfortable...
