I have got 5 stone to loose ,,,,but not sure wether to join Weight Watchers or Slimming World,,,any-one done either ,or both ,,any help would be appreiciated,,,
Slimming clubs are just a waste of money. try a healthier diet and increase exercise to the recommended amount of 20-30 mins every day, best of luck xx
well...... i joined SW and lost 2 stone 2. (I then put it all back on and) joind WW. Where i lost SOD ALL. So now i am back on SW, i re joined last week. IMO SW is better and healthier. Good luck.
I've been to both. Each are good but which ever you go to you have to realise that you need to eat healthy for life or the weight goes back on. (i know through experience).
Cambridge Diet
I know someone who has lost 4 stone yep 56 pounds in weight in wait for it 21/2 months.
It was under supervision from a cambridge diet Counsellor you have to cheched out first and a letter from your doctor.
my mum had a lot of weight to lose so she joined weight watchersw. She found that she could eat a lot and never really felt hungry. She lost all the weight gradually and it has stayed off for 3 years now. She has found that her diet has changed as the treats that she used to love, she now doesnt bother about. it is expensive but if you need motivaton it is worth it.
Thank-you for all your answers ,,,,,,have till Monday to decide ,,,I carnt exercise as I am disabled,,,,,so that route is not available to me I'm afraid
Definately Weight Watchers. I have lost nearly 3 half stone There is a Weight Watchers web site which is more like a forum. It costs you nothing and there are plenty of people on there who will help you out with what to eat. I did go to classes till I lost a stone and then continued on my own as I didn't really feel comfortable at the classes and also I begruded the cost. Would rather spend the money on some nice food to keep me interested. Good Luck!
My friend has joined Lighter-life. A liquid programme based diet. You have to get approval form you doctor 1st. And can only do it if you have over 3st to loose (so you should have no prob) My friend has been doing it for 5 months mow & has lost 3 1/3 st. This costs about 250 a month...but then you are not buying groceries. Good look I nned to loose 1 st & have gone back on WW. but not rejioned as I have all the bumph from b4.
I joined weight watchers and love it i have tried loads of diets and find that this best suits me! i think you have to find something that works for you. But you have to exercise as well. My friend joined slimming world and found it too much changing days to different foods were as weight watchers you have two plans i do the points were you have so many point to eat and you incorperate all different types of food dairy protein carbs veg fruit you need to have a bit of everything in moderation. it might work or might not. good luck
I would definately recommend weight watchers.
It is so good, you can basically still eat what you want as long as you stick to your points & it has really helped me to think more about the things i'm eating & to become much healthier. You get all the information that you need to find all the points, it's not hard at all. I stay to every meeting aswell which is really helpful & you also get free booklets & leaflets every week to give you new advice. I'd definately give it a go! 4.95 a week is definately worth it! It's the only diet i've ever been able to stick too & i love it!
i have done the slimming world one and that was ok. the only problem is when you eat out and you are either on a red or a green day not always can you find something to eat. You cant switch red & green half way through a day either. Only plus point was that with all the veg, fruit etc i was eatting my skin was really healthy and i actually felt more energetic.
Which ever you do hope it goes ok and you loose that weight!!!
my friend has lost almost 3 stone on Weight Watchers. I have been surprised how much she could eat and how varied the choices were. It really did not seem to take over her life - calorie counting or anything. She has now maintained her target weight for several months - just changed her whole eating regime. If she is out and really fancies drinking or having something more fattening she will - perhaps just tries to cut back somewhere else the next day. I am really proud of her for doing it with such ease. Sorry I dont mean to offend but is there any exercise you can do - be it upper or lower body?
weightwatchers is the best option as it teaches you to make healthier choices. slimming world isnt healthy as you eat either proteins or carbs. you need to be eating a balanced diet. Also you need to change your eating habits for life not just whilst your dieting. Just introduce some simple rules like not eating after 7, smaller portions lots or fruit and veg. Then maybe a take away once a week. Dont deprive yourself of the foods you love otherwise you.ll end up going on a binge. The foods that are a bit naughty just eat in moderation. good luck!!!
i could honestly say weight watchers is the best thing i have ever done in my life! ive literally been dieting all my life and could never stick to it! then last march i joined weight watchers in total i have lost 3 stone and am still a member, it hasnt stopped me living i go out every weekend, went to magaluf, bulgaria, balckpool twice and newcastle last year and still managed to lose that in under a year, it is the best thing i have ever done and i would recommend anyone to do it! best of luck!!
