Time for tough love.

If you are for real, call for an ambulance now. Stop ******* about
I am beginning to think it is not for real.

Why would anyone ask advice and then ignore the tirade of answers saying the same thing?

Hi it is for real, but ive been told by the doctor to ring 999 when i get the pain again as if i go now as i have done previous then nothing will show on ecg, its needs to be done at the time of pain or a little time afterwards.xx
Hi Tam,like everyone says....see a doc !
like most of the people on here im no doc,but I am a qualified first aider.I think that your feelings about a heart related problem are right. It could be angina. The problem with your theory about calling 999 when it next happens is that IF it is a heart attack, you may not have the time too.My father died af a heart attack 2 years ago and he basically died where he fell,I was the first on the scene and had to perform CPR but unfortunatley was too late.He was only 60.
So what I am trying to say to you is GET CHECKED OUT NOW.DONT WAIT TILL ITS TOO LATE !!!!!!
You may not live to regret it.
It will also set your mind at rest as it could be something simple.
Best of luck to you !!

To tell you the truth im actually scared with what they might say it is, im not going into hospital
what can be worse than dying a painfull death? This could be something relatively simple to fix. As for the cough with the other symptoms, cant that be a blood clot? i think thats what causes a heart attack, a blood clot trying to pass through the heart? i could be wrong. but in which case you'd be put on warfarin to thin the blood and any clots and that would be it. Its up to you wether you go to hospital, but do you have any children, grandchildren or potential grandchildren that you would leave behind?
Its not frightening. My dad had his first attack 12 years previous and he has in hosptal for a week.....even though he died twice.
When he got home he had to take it easy for 6 weeks then it was pretty much life as normal.all he had to do was eat sensibly ,stop smoking and pop back to the docs every now and then.
If you go,and they diagnose you with heart probs they will just treat it.The fact is, that if you dont go and the docs dont diagnose your prob, doesn't mean that you prob doesn't exist .You still have it.
I think you already know what you should do,your just to scared to go.Take a family member with you for support.
Now get down the docs !!

As dumbboy says it could be just angina which is a manageable condition. They can give you things to control the symptoms when you have an attack.
It could be something really simple, and by talking to the doc and having some tests you can put your mind at rest.
