Broken my toe, how long should I be off work?
3 Answers
Hi, I have broken my toe and wasn't sure how long I should be off work.I didn't think to ask at A&E. I broke it on Sunday and have stayed at home this week with the intention of returning on Monday. Is that too soon? I am a Nursery Nurse so I'm quite active all day. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

Thats a bit of an unanswerable question, because, even though I sympathise with your misfortune, it depends on what you do, in some cases, no time at all, and with others, about a month. I broke my leg, took four months to heal, but I was back at work, (light duties) after two weeks, simply because I could get in using public transport.

Depends on your job, i broke my toe on a Sunday and carried on as normal with work the next day in a loose and comfortable pair of sandals, but I have a desk job so not much walking about to do. Really painful though, sometimes I still have pain in the toe three years later, so I'm sorry for you that it's happenend.
