I have naturally medium brown hair which I dye - originally through highlights. I was getting a bit bored of the time it was taking in the salon so turned to a L'oreal all over home kit. However, the new colour on the brown growing through went a bit orangy so I changed brands to Jerome Russell which is bleach based.

I've used this three or four times and last night when I did my roots again, on brusing my hair through after washing it treatment out, some of my hair started coming out on my comb. Nothing drastic but I obviously can't continue with this unless I want to end up bald.

So I'm going to cut my hair short and hope to go brown again while the hair recovers, but because of the contrast between the blonde and the natural colour, letting it grow out would look really really awful. Can a hairdresser put brown over bleach while new hair grows through?

I've only really answered to tell you that I love your name :o) But, yes, a hairdresser can do that and it's the best way to do it, to make sure you get a decent colour.
