thats funny i hadnt ever heard of them before, but i had wondered in my own weird imaginery things if they could ever make anything like that. imagine if it lost its suction!!!
I have used one.It was ok yet a little fiddly to put in corectly.Ihad to stop useing it when my periods changes from light to very heavy during the change. Its something you should try b4 making a decision..................................They are a great idea if you want to be 'green' as pads and tampax are not good for our rubbish situation.
Never used one myself, but I found out recently that a very good friend of mine does, and swears by it. she was trying to convert me, but I'm not to be swayed on that particular subject lol!!
I always thought it sounded a bit disgusting but after several very bad bouts of thrush and reading that both tampons and sanitary towels can exarcebate the problem I decided to get a mooncup. It takes a little getting used to but then it's very easy to use and not as messy as they make out on the website. I'm also saving a lot of money by not having to buy tampons! Although I do still wear a tampon at night as I find I leak at night but never at any other times of the day!
I love my mooncup. You just have to get used to being fairly, erm, intimate with yourself. So nice not to have to buy and flush tampons as well. I use a pad as well sometimes, especially if I know I'll be busy at work and not able to pop in the loo on time. I have to empty mine every 3 hours or so on my heaviest days, but it's very quick and easy. Disabled toilets have sinks in you can use to rinse if you are out and about!
