I haven't had the surgery - I really wanted it two months ago.

I had three consultations, one with Optical Express, one with Boots and one with Ultralase.

For very boring reasons I am not suitable for the surgery, so cannot have it. This was confirmed very quickly by Ultralase and Boots. Optical Express said I was suitable and were prepared to do,even though I would still need glasses afterwards. They were only interested in my money.

Ultralase were very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them. A little dearer than Optical Express but far superior.
My other half has, about a couple of months ago, on one eye. He said it was the worst experience EVER, but so far so good. He has no regrets and can see now!
i personally think that something as precious as your eyes is just that, precious, and the thought of it going wrong, however small a chance doesnt bare thinking about
I haven't. but my friend's hubby, Gregg, has, in both eyes. He didn't find the experience pleasant, but now, 18 months on he's glad he had it done because at 32, for the first time in his life he has perfect vision.
at the time he found it a real drag because it made his eyes hurt and he had to wear shades everywhere for ages. they told him in the clinic he would need to wear them for just a few days while in the house, but those few days turned into a couple of weeks or more for him, but like i said, he has perfect vision now, and the pain is all forgotten.
