Myself and my husband have both just recovered from tonsillitus, this is the first time we have both had it and were 29. We were wondering if were going to keep getting now that we've had once, because you always hear of people having it loads of times then having there tonsills out, can any one help?

I have had tonsilitis once, when I was 35! Never had it before and never had it since, touch wood!
I suffered with it for years but never had my tonsills out. I haven't had it any more (touch wood). I don't see why you should have it again. Just take it easy over the next week or so until you're completely up and running again. Do you take vitamins?

No, i don't take vitamins, do you think i should?
i had it twice within the year, about 15 years ago, and haven't had it since. i suppose it depends how susceptible you are to it whether you will get it again or not. it doesn't necessarily follow that you'll ever have it again, or need to have your tonsills out.
I just wondered as the last time I had it a pharmacist recommended a vitamin and I never got it again, could be coincidence - I've since stopped taking it and can't remember what it was - it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. If it's a concern then you could always chat to a pharmacist to explain and they may be able to recommend something to you? If you've only had it the once, I wouldn't worry too much about it as you may not get it again.
