Can you still produce gallstones after your gallbladder has been removed?

I wouldn't have thought so - I had my gall bladder removed 4 years ago & finally the "mysterious" pains I had stopped.The only thing I can suggest is that the bile from the liver is now being "dumped" & depending on your diet it can cause refluxing & at times I have had a similar pain to the one I had when the gallstones were there but only about twice & that was possibly just through the food I had eaten the day before.
