back pain

Hi there,i have had really painful lower right side back pain for around 10 days now,even hurts on my ribs and cannot sleep on my usual side.I dont know whether ive pulled a muscle but it feels like i have a huge tender bruise on my middle back and it HURTS!!! Its quite a dull pain and ibuprofen seems to take the edge away but only for a few hours,it doesnt seem to be getting better.Any ideas of what ive done to have pain like this?? sounds like this could be a kidney or urinary infection. Does it help to drink lots of fluid? I'd ask the doctor they should be able to tell from a urine test.
