For me when I had my wisdom tooth out, I had the anesthetic with the needle, I didn't feel any pain, but felt it happening the tugging (as it were) it's over so quickly and in the long run it's worth it, good luck.
hiy sunshine123, the local anaesthetic agent essentially 'numbs pain fibres' so there shouldn't be any discomfort, however it does not work on proprioceptive nerve endings, so you will feel the tooth movce and pressure of course but no pain
I had a tooth extracted last year...and was petrified. All you have is the sharpness of the needle going in, then no pain while the tooth is being removed, however you need to make sure you have some good pain relief as I found the pain unbearable for a few days after (although it may be due to the infection that I had). Hope all goes well.
