Teeth extracted 40 days ago and I am still in pain
4 Answers
I had two lower molars removed - they were not impacted or infected. Both had crowns with root canals and both had failed allowing decay for form. The teeth were extracted and liquid bone was added for the future implants I planned to have. While the stitches were still in a portion of my gum split and my jaw bone exposed. This was about 1/8th of an inch below the stitches. The dentist removed the stitches a few days later and said I was healing well. I was still in a lot of pain and told him so. He said it was a difficult extraction. The bone kept cutting and catching my tongue and cutting it so when I went to the dentist a week later he cut the gums again and restitched them to cover the bone. The stitches that were to stay in for 10 days came loose within 4 days and the gum splayed open. Now the gums are red and raw and the bone that was to be covered is popping out again. Has anyone had problems like this and if so what did you do. I don't want to go back to this dentist. Nothing he's done seems to be going well.

i had the same problem a few monthes ago they extracted a tooth and exsposed the bone wich was cutting the inside of my mouth very painfull it seemed to go on for ever . your dentist has probebly told you this but what cured me was rinsing your mouth 4 times aday with warm water with plenty of salt in it after a few days it started to heal along with antibiotics.
