Phobias
2 Answers
Does anyone know whether a person can suffer from both Agoraphobia and Claustrophobia? I mean, would it be possible to be scared of being stuck in a lift, but scared to get out into a crowded shopping centre for example. Is there such a thing as multiple phobias?

bananie, I had Agoraphobia for several years, not just a fear of open spaces but crowds and mixing with peope which means "Social Phobia or Social Anxiety Disorder". I could'nt sit in a room with closed windows either! As for going in a lift, sheer panic! Those years were horrendous, not ony for me but my famiy. Agoraphobia means "Fear of the market place" but its not always so.
