Poor mite, when he went to the loo it sprayed everywhere! We went into the children's ward for a couple of hours - first they put some cream on his hand to numb the skin, then injected him with a general anaesthetic - he went out really quickly and they whisked him away for about half an hour. He suffrered no ill effects, apart from a little soreness.

we origionnally went to docs cause he was crying when he weed and it ballooned up as well, so she had a look and said "its very tight, theres a lot of puss there so put this cream on and give him oral antibiotics" she also told us to gently pull the fore skin back while hes relaxed in the bath, which i have been doing and it does look tight, you can't see the head of the willy at all the foreskin just wont open, in comparrison my friend son is the same age so she tried to pull it back and she said the skin folded half way down the willy! I just feel so sorry for him!
My boy suffered from 'penile adhesions' which prevented his foreskin from retracting properly, We, too, suffered the 'sprinkler effect' when he went to the loo and it was uncomfortable for him.
The procedure was exactly like taichiperson says, except............I believe they more or less passed a warmed spoon around the inside thereby both removing these adhesions and stretching the foreskin..............a circumcision wasn't actually necessary, in the end. Oh ! and when he was wheeled back from theatre he had a surgical dressing attached to his midriff. When I queried this I was told that the surgeon had identified a small hernia which he had fixed as my son was already sparko !!
He was back home and showing off his dressing by tea-time.
You'll feel a lot worse than he will............honest ! :o)
