Period late, no pregnancy

I am 25 and have 3 kids. I am 5 days late on a period that is always 29 days apart. I have the coil fitted. My breasts are a little tender and I have been experiencing period pains for a week now. As I say, my periods are NEVER usually late. I took a test this morning which says negative. Any suggestions?

It could be that a pregnancy hasn't shown up yet.

Could be hormonal or if you've had anything stressful or an upheaval lately or been seriously dieting or training.

Could it be related to any contraceptive you are on like the pill or any other medication?
