oh yes but surely you can vent to someone after work, I appreciate it can be difficult when you have to maintain a certain work mood. keeping it all in will only lead to you feeling much worse
Let it all out. It doesn't do anyone any good to bottle their emotions up, whether at home or work.
I had a terrible couple of days recently, and decided to pour everything out. Must've got on peoples' nerves, but I felt better for it.
I've held lots in for the same reason puddi - you can't always rant or cry at work - unprofessional in front of others.
Having said that, it doesn't do to keep all your pent up feelings inside for too long. It can make you feel very grumpy & sometimes unwell, so as soon as it's 'convenient' for want of a best word, best to let it all out.
