My elderly father suffers from arthritis in his knee. He has seen an advert in a daily newspaper for a strap which fits around the knee called KNEED IT. It is supposed to work like a shock absorber for the knee and also give off warmth. My dad is really enthusiastic about buying one of these but at 60!!!! I think they are a rip off. Has anyone any experience of one of these straps? Many thanks

Not at that price .
His GP may prescribe him something similiar .My bro had one as a support while waiting for his knee replacement.I have arthritic knees ,one worse than the other and have had to wear a support now and again when it gives out or is giving me gyp .
The best ones imho are the sports supports from Boots .They do exactly the same thing as the sixty quid one ! In fact I think they sell the ones with a strap in Boots anyway or if you go to the Bupa website they have loads all under the sixty quid advertised in the paper . Their strap one is only 11.25
