tonic for kids
2 Answers
Hi,
The germs in my house seem to do the rounds over and over again. If my 5 yr old doesn't have a germ, my 2 yr old does, I'm beginning to wonder whether my better half and I will ever get a full nights sleep again. Neither children eat very well, can anyone suggest vitamins, tonics or any remedies that will nurse them back to health and/or keep the nasties at bay????
Many Thanks.

So a healthy supply of good bacteria is vital to support immunity. When we are unwell we tend to have an overgrowth of bad bacteria and this suppresses our immune system. You can buy probiotic supplements for children . Look for the ones with Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria. Don't feed the children with anything containing yeast and if you want to increase the good bacteria also feed them a high fibre diet, when good bacteria eat soluble fibre they multiply.Another useful tip for children attending nursery and school is to keep their fingernails short and always wash their hands when they arrive home. You would be amazed at how much bacteria lives under your fingernails. Hope this helps and you and hubby have a good nights sleep soon.
