Hair breaking off and weak nails???

Still have a good amount of hair mid length,but for ages its just keeps breaking off,i know that we lose a certain amount every day,but had enough now, all so my nails are easily broken and dont seem to grow that much anymore,due you think i am lacking certain vitamins and if so which ones???

It is expensive but H&B have offers on it every so often, you only have 2 or 3 teaspoons per day so I find a small bottle lasts for about a month in the fridge. You can get capsules as well or gel (not good for hair though!).
My sister had a 'patch' on her head that was sore and wouldn't heal, she had this for as long as she could remember but it's disappeared now due to taking aloe vera.

My OH has just started using the gel on his legs instead of E45 cream. He gets sore itchy skin on his lower legs and when taking the juice he said the hair had started to grow back on his legs so we're trying to continue this affect with the gel. (Easier than juice when travelling as we're going away for 2 weeks).
