My daughter is 11 years old and a couple of months ago we noticed a tiny red spot on her tummy, thinking it was a normal spot we left it alone. Tonight she has shown me it and it is now a bright red lump about a quarter of an inch diameter and raised, its not sore at all, just unsightly. Its very smooth (not textured like a wart).
I am going to ring doctor for an appointment tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had any idea what it could be because I have never seen anything like it before.

louise....an odd story, could be a benign lesion known as a haemangioma, but essential That you do see ypur GP as it may need excision biopsy.

Thanks sqad617 - took her to the doctor who said he couldnt put my mind at rest as he really doesnt know what it is, said it doesnt look like a mole but he is referring her to a dermatologist to get it examined and they will tell me if it needs removing or at least what it is! Then he said "I dont think its a cancer or anything bad!" That really helped my worrying! Have to wait and see what hospital say now x
louise...thanks for the feedback.
