no longer smoking.....

i quit smoking 8 months ago...have put on approximately 3 stone in weight...is this normal....anyone else added loads of weight since quitting?

Your gut acts more efficiently, which means you absorb more sustenance from what you eat, and some people tend to use snacks or sweets as a substitute for smoking - which means they eat more.
Try getting more excercise, eat breakfast every day and avoid snacking between meals ... oh and watch your portion sizes too !

congrats on losing the weight. my normal weight ranges from 8 stone - 9 stone.. heaviest ive ever been is now... even heavier than at full term pregnancy...its getting me down, but ive had a death in the family also, so eating to feel better... good luck to you though..i hope i will feel better about myself again soon too.
