i have reoccurring sore throat. Its not really sore sore but it does burn and feels like i have a blister or boil at the back of my throat (always at the same place)
My gp has giving me antibiotics a few times but as its not really painful i dont go and see him every time it hurts. I've told him i get it regularly but he doesnt seem to worried. should i keep going on at him til he does something useful or should i just keep it as i have for the last few years?

Request a referral to see an ENT specialist to have things investigated further. Perhaps you have a polyps.

Ta Vel x

I guess am kinda "dont question the doctor" type person :/

Well that's what they are there for and you will regret it, if it's something serious, which could have been treated earlier.
I think that velve means vocal cord polyps as polyps do not occur in the throat and it that case yopu would have hoarseness and from what I gather you have not.

More information....how old are yoiu, do you smoke and have you any nasal problems?

Am in ma 20s, yes i smoke :( this time its lasting longer.

i had a good look and there are yellow spots all down one side of ma throat going right down the back. it's affecting ma ear :( i know by the time i get to the gp it'll be gone as usual.

I've been using TCP lol
the worse thing is the thought of this yucky yellow goo dripping down the back of ma throat :(

I wouldnt worry if it wasnt so frequent tho x
Well, it sounds like a sinus infection with pus pouring down the back of your throat infecting all before it.
You do need to see an ENT Specialist.
