Hi all.

Not feeling too good today. Woke up this morning with a sore throat. The glands at the sides of my throat and back of my neck are really swollen and achy- it feels like i'm being choked. Not nice!

Took a beechams cold and flu earlier, and tried a couple of asprin a short while ago, and had some honey and lemon.

Anyone got any suggestions i could try?

Sounds like a course of ampicillin is in order. Don't waste your money on the other gunk!!
Sorry to hear your not well kira. Your glands are doing there job. stopping infection. If I was you gargle with the asprin and then swallow it. But make sure you do not take any other pain killer at the same time. Eating honey of a teaspoon is also good as it is a antiseptic. Or drink honey and lemon and painkillers/ hope you better soon. x
kira......I agree with lilachen......give it a couple of days on that regime.

Thx for the suggestions guys (and gals).

Its ridiculous really. I'm an expert at having tonsilitis- have had it at least twice a year since i was a wee nipper- so pus-y raw sore throats i can do, but i seem to be a novice at this horrible achy swollen feeling!

Fingers crossed eh!
