I had an eye infection quite some time ago and ever since my eyes get really dry in the evening. Also I cant see properly during the day and I wake up with my eyes just being disgustingly shut in the morning. Reckon I should get it checked out or just get those eye drops for dry eyes?

Best get it checked by the doc but in the meantime try the artificial tears from chemist
i would get it checked out,but in the mean-time try placing cold teabags on each eye for 5/10minuets.it does work.
Eyes are very precious.
Go to the doc and get them checked out. What's the down-side ?
Meantime, go to your friendly local chemist and get their advice
It sounds as though the infection ?conjunctivitis haSn't yet settled. Would suggest that you see your gp.
It does sound like an infection so best see your doc or speak to your pharmacist. I have dry eyes and use artificial teardrops which help, but if your eyes are crusty thats a sign of something that needs to be checked with the doc. or at least your optician.
Dry eyes, you should come onto chatterbank, theres this guy called leg that will have you screaming and crying in laughter when you hear how important he thinks he is and how bad his pickup lines are!

Seriously though,go an get them checked out at the doctors pronto......................And then come to chatterbank for your laughter fix!
I had a similar problem recently which was a beggar for wearing contact lenses.

I saw my opticians about it as easier than the docs for me but make sure someone has a look.

As well as having had an infection I still had dry spots that the opticians could see with the orange dye they put in your eyes and they were swollen.

The opticians said that my glands were blocked so used articifical tears (and tired this wierd gel stuff called visi tears before bed) and gently cleaned round my eyes using a hot compress, massaging the eyes to unblock the glands and then gently cleaning them with baby shampoo (no more tears).
I cannot add anything to what has been said, other than change all of your eye makeup/cosmetics/eyeshadow brushes as they may harbour the bugs if you have an infection.
