Hi just an update reference my friend.

She did see the vascular surgeon and the same day was admitted and had a biopsy. She's got a shaved patch from her ear almost to her hairline. Should be getting the results end of this week.

She got into trouble for stopping her steriods. She asked the consultant whether she would have an MRI scan and he said it wasn't necessary.

Forgot she also had an eye test.

Not sure what all this signifies

Thanks cathy.....pre-empting biopsy report, but it sounds like Temporal Arteritis (Giant cell arteritis)........not cancer in any form, but is ESSENTIAL that she continues with large doses of steroids.

Yes I told her she was stupid to stop taking them as she'd been given them for a reason.
