abnormal smear

anyone tell me why a smear would have some abnormal cellsand need to be repeated in 6 months. What does it mean

Cells are either :
1) Normal.........no problem
2) Abnormal......a) mild....no problem may revert to normal
b) Moderately abnormal...back in 6 months
c) Severely abnormal..Might suggest pre
cancerous changes.
3) Malignant.
This classification is simplified for ease of understanding.
You are almost certainly 2a as if you were otherwise a Colposcopy would be arranged.
So at the moment pink......"no big deal"
