I am generally slim all over but my thighs are massive, they look ok in jeans but as soon as i put a skirt or shorts on they look absolutely massive and i really want to lose some wait from there, usually when i lose weight it comes off places i really dont want it to like my boobs and shoulders.
You cannot 'spot reduce' fat from a certain part of the body whilst having it remain on the other parts without having liposuction. Your best bet would be to try and tone your things through exercise,or wear control underwear with skirts.
it sounds like your a typical pear shape as am i. I have big thighs and a big bum but i think its the best bit about my body. Most men probably love it. Post a question asking them
How can you assume you are speaking for 'most men' sacha?
Just because your bloke says he likes big bums and thighs doesn't mean that most do! My bloke can't stand them,he likes his women slim all over like me.
If the guys like it then thats their choice but its more of my own perception of my thighs that i dont like, i want to be able to wear a skirt or shorts and feel sexy and nice not be walking around trying to convince myself that they are not that fat!
you really shouldnt care thats how u r. I dont now how old you are but i normally just stick a pair of lace tights on. It covers you up but also shows you off
As Daffy says you can't spot reduce... Sounds like they're an ok size if they look normal in jeans so I would go with toning them up... You'll have to tone all over but try a body pump class. Biggest weight you lift exercises the thighs and while I have some way to go, even I am starting to the beginning of muscle definition in my thighs and I find it much more attractive. Weights will change your body shape and I recommend it if you're not actually looking to lose weight.
No. Muscle weighs more than fat so it's quite likely I weigh more than I did a few months ago but I look a hell of a lot better than I did. Toned thighs look much better (in my opinion) and if there's no real weight issue (as the lass seems to suggest by the fact that they look good in jeans) then I would just tone them up. It'll look better in skirts too.
It's very hard to build muscle, especially for women, so you won't get big legs. They are lots of exercises you can do, from yoga and pilates to swimming or running to body pump and weights. Muscle is more dense than fat (it does not weigh more, a pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of lead! :o), so occupies a smaller volume for the same mass, i.e. thinner thighs!
