I am just curious how each one of us deals with daily stress - each one of us is unique in creation and has our own way of dealing with matter...some smoke, others do yoga, or others still...let it go...But still we are stressed and feel we need a way out....any tips..?
I don't deal with stress well actually but a good long walk in the fresh air helps me. I'm a stress head and a worry guts - not a good combination really.
I read and try to get as much quality sleep as possible.
I've had a lot of stress in my life, most of which I hope is behind me now, but I don't let many things bother me these days - life is too short, and now I am grateful for what I've got and dwell on the good things in life, not the bad.
... and, very importantly - laugh.
Try to seek out those friends who make you laugh, not the ones who get you down or make things worse by being so depressive themselves! Watch sitcoms, try to see funny situations and stories wherever you can. Laughter is a brilliant tonic - it goes tremendously well with gin !!
Stress?.....good for you, get's the adrenaline going, dilates the coronary arteries and when i really feel high................I come on AB and go into the Pregnancy Section answering a few queries.....i.e" I had intercourse 10minutes ago, could I be pregnant?"
I used to stuff my face and then changed my habit and exercise instead.
Lost over 7 stone, look fantastic and feel so much better.
Sometimes when I'm faced with things I feel I can't handle I find myself eating but it's no where near as much as I would have before.
Slimming world as really helped me and so has focusing on the result I want.
tough at times but it works.
I watched my mother drink herself into oblivion when I was younger and I swore I would never do that.
i just sleep loads.....................and cry and scream thats when nim not sleeping, im very bad at handling stress, i run away to my mums if its really bad
I talk to myself, when I feel a panic attack coming on I tell myself things will be ok talk to myself by name "You'll be ok Jem, it will pass Jem" and take deep breaths and slowly breath out, do several of these, even if i'm on a bus or train too. I find it really helps. My doc gave this advice & it helps Me.
