I don't think it's impossible that out of the hundreds/thousands of ABers that at least one member has a medical degree!
He'd be a very sad/sick man to invent something like that.
Like I've said before -
a) sometimes you need advice - something you don't actually need to see a GP about
b) You may have seen a GP and are awaiting results but want advice/or if anyone else has been in a similar situation
c) or you may have a docs appt that week but want some reassurance

Funny how Body and Soul is a very popular topic, people ask questions on there all the time. You'd be pretty silly just to take the advice from one person if it was something serious etc.

Sqad can never prove he is medically qualified but wrong or not, I believe him

Doctor or not, (and, although I doubted it, I now think he is/was) he is a dirty old man in his 70's who gets pleasure from postal 'smutty' stuff on the internet and doesn't like the fact that some of us don't appreciate it.

I am as broad minded as most, but I don't like sleaze.

Most of the other blokes on this site know where to draw the line and I find their humour funny even if it is risque.

Sorry, but I really don't miss him. I would rather go to my doctor for medical advice.

I believe sqad is a retired doctor.........his knowledge of hospitals he worked in was spot on and he even mentioned once about a York chap being his anaesthetist on ocassion, this being Dr Dench (Judi's brother) and his dates tied in to when Dench was practising.

Actually, it makes me feel quite weird thinking of what he was thinking when he examined his female patients. Still, ENT shouldn't really pose many problems unless he is turned on by ears!!

Lofty - I think Sqad always just gave his opinion on medical matters , but did say see your GP to Abers.

I have found 'some blokes on this site' to be downright insulting, far worse than Sqad's quips.

He does overstep the mark sometimes, but so do others. I do not think he deserves the 'witchhunt' that has taken place on here over the past week.

someone told me he had taken an overdoes after reading all his fan mail (it was a joke!)
But his advice was invaluable!
I have a friend who I know would have appreciated his input on thread here - but looks like she was too late!

I remember being very rude to him once. I told him off and called him cold-hearted, heartless and other stuff when he commented about his mother. I was embarrassed after I did that; he responded to my rude remarks to him but then we on 'speaking' to each other as though nothing offensive was said.

DEN, I sincerely think he enjoys the attention. No witchhunt, I don't wish him any harm and each to his own. I really don't miss him though. A retired surgeon in his 70's who gets his pleasure from smutty chats with ladies on websites, just don't like it.......................... .

I know there are worse things posted on here, but somehow it is worse when it comes from an intelligent and articulate being. I could put up with it from the likes of a few that have now been permanently banned - one in particular - because they didn't have many brain cells!!

Craft - I agree - I was a patient at the London Hospital, Whitechapel back in the 70's and Sqad was a junior medic under the consultants I saw. I do not doubt his qualifications.

Lottie if I were you I wouldn't get involved, he has his 'fan club' which I am sure he enjoys, like you I wasn't keen on the smut infact in one thread he wrote he was sitting on his bed b0ll0ck naked,,,errrmmm who wants to know that...lol
people are entitled to say they want him back and how nice he was, and is to them
just he doesn't float my boat. thats all ! PMSL
