Put a ton of Cayenne on anything you eat and I'm sure you will lose weight!

Its not a wind up, i was just searching for info on high cholestrol and came across this, its just that my dad has just found out he has a heart prob now is waiting for other procedures to be carried out, but he has tried various statins but has painful side effects from them, i was just looking for alternate remedies and came across the link, has anyone any ideas of alternates for him. Thanks
Not nearly enough information for further advice.

What level is his cholesterol?
What heart problem?
What further investigations.

If for any reason, he cannot take statins, then don't take anything untill the investigations are completed.

Pepper?????
