a friend here in spain had laser surgery recently. its left him with a side effect, he now cant cry, so he´s regularly putting drops into his eyes.

maybe most laser treatments are ok, but there seems to be a fad now, and its big money

lot of progs on tv, radio about this here in Ireland - a significant minority have dry eyes after; one poor sod on radio a few weeks back is close to blind - like staring at the sun he can only see a black disc and only has peripheral vision
I had mine done with no problems, but obviously it's not the same for everyone. your friend should have been well informed of possible side-effects.

my boss had it done and had to use eye drops for about a year, but then it sorted itself out.

thanx sara, i´ll tell my friend that. he´s a bit down at the mo. plus another side effect, he used to have quite good close vision, not any more, but good long vision.
In fact i never got around to asking why he had it done in the 1st place. as he only just told me he had it done the other day.
