Hi everyone,

Please advise. I have this open pore above my right eyebrow, which when I apply pressure a worm like substance comes out. I keep getting this stuff out on a daily basis and it never seems to clear up. Could this substance be Sebum and if so, why is it always in that particular pore and nowhere else?

I think it's been there a few months and may have occurred since I've been having my eyebrows threaded.

Thanks

Is it just waxy stuff? I have a small pore in the same place as you which does the same, OH has one as well. We don't take any notice of them to be honest, they don't get raised or infected, we just leave it alone and use cleanser.

Havent grieved yet, saying that had a episode at work last week,a culmination of stress workwise
my son has something very similar on her ear. It is sebum and does need squeezing now and again. Nothing to worry about :-p
Velvetee...I often wondered where you were. Nice to see you back, we all lived your pregnancy;-)

Is it just a pore or is there a visual swelling behind it.
If it is just a "pore", then no big deal, just keep squeezing.
If it is associated with a swelling it is either a sebaceous cyst or a chalazion, neither of which are a big deal.
If I remember correctly, you are Afro-Caribbean and "oily skin" is common in this race, but if I have got it wrong, then forget this last sentence.
