the past year or so i have been getting full body spasms at night, it is like one continuous spasm which pushes my back and stomach towards the ceiling, it has not phased me that much as it is only once a week or two weeks but i am recovering from a broken neck now when it happens I'm in dreadful pain so want to get rid of it.... it occurs when i have dreams about ghost's and dream that one is taking over my body which i think is the trigger. does any one else get this and how do you get rid of it i feel silly going to the doctors.
PS. this started shortly after i played a Ouija board and got told i would die in three weeks lol......;..obiously i dot think the ghost is after me just think that this can be the physiological basis of this as it started after then..

oh ye and some horrible shaking throughout the body when it happens, and apart from the neck i have a full bill of health both physically and mentally eg no epilepsy
Has your G.P. tried you on a low dose of baclofen? Can be useful with some spasms.
It would appear that a psychiatric opinion would be in order.
I actually used to get these when I was a child, felt a bit like someone was sticking something in my back, my back would really arch and and be painful, I found them very frightening, like yourself I think it was somehow connected to bad dreams, always when I was asleep.
I think the Ouija board experience is probably just a coincidence.
I agree with Sqad, it sounds like a psychological isssue rather than a physical one. Maybe some anti-anxiety meds would work to prevent the spasms.
