My skin takes months to heal from spots and scratches. Its never been like this before, even though I had acne as a teenager. On the whole my skin is nice, I'm female, 45 and don't generally get many spots but when I do, they tend to be big, red sore lumps, but blind (never coming to anything) and very tender. I still have marks left on my skin from before Christmas. is this a sign of a diet deficiency?

If the spots come just before your period then Vichy might help. I went into my local pharmacy and they advised me to try it. It isn't cheap but it seems to work on this type of spot.

The spots are really painful and, as you say, there is nothing to 'pop'.

slow healing can be a sign of diabetes, might be worth getting that checked

Thank you Wolf63, I'm certainly going to try the Vichy, it describes exactly what I suffer from. Thank you Woofgang, I really hadn't even thought of Diabetes - I'll get checked out just in case.
