New Dentist for a filling
2 Answers
Hello,
I have noticed that I have a cavity in one of my back teeth and need a filling. However, the dentist I am registered with is about 200 miles away from where I am currently living, (I am a student). Taking time off work and travelling all the way there would add quite a cost to my dental bill!! I wondered if anyone knows if its possible to go to a different dentist just to get this done or would I have to register with them and have new patient x rays and everything??
Many Thanks

I don't think you have to tie yourself to one dentist anyway, the new one would not have your records but I believe that any local dentist would see you in an emergency. You might have to pay privately though (if you have to pay).
