Schol foot files are the best and retail at about £4.59 each. Use on dry skin only.

Norwegian formula foot cream is outstanding and better than any other product I've used. Retails at about £4.39.

Both available in Boots.
Flexitol
Any of the above, or vaseline, or any good hard skin product - slather it on your feet at night - put said feet in cotton socks (or even a plastic bag) - leave it overnight. Feet very smooth and soft.
compeed is good too. Don't know what it is about flexitol but when i use it my feet feel hot...like after you have done a long walk on a hot day in tight shoes.
have a hot bath then use the blade of a pair of scissors, I had a pair that were broke, then just pare it off, you get loads and makes you feel rather sick!! after slop on cream and wear socks, lovely soft feet
can you buy Eulactol Balm in the uk - it's absolutely brilliant for hard feet, but we may be greedy and keep it all here in oz
Soak feet in warm, soapy water. Slough off skin with suitable device. Rub lots and lots of moisturiser in to skin - any will do - then wrap feet up in cling film. Top with socks and leave until next day.
Obviously you do this in the evening.
Poggy, after much scepticism, I listened to my mates on AB and I bought myself a Ped-Egg. I can't tell you why it seems to work so much better than traditional cheese-grater foot scrapers, but it does, it's excellent. I hardly ever wear shoes so my heels get really in need of attention. Give it a try!
sorry lushlar, please do not do as advised by lushlars answer!
Go and get a proper pedicure and get them to take the hard skin off for you then try and keep them nice. I got some good tips just by watching a professional do it and it you really want a treat, a hot wax treatment leaves them feeling soooo soft.

Looks like the Ped egg is the thing, but where can i buy it here in Spain?
i tried googling it. JML seemed to be the company to contact, they weren´t. so in the dark now. tried couple of farmacias(chemists here, no joy)

Ped eggs are amazing. You can get them at Boots and I expect you can get them on ebay too.
It would appear that they don't have them in Spain.

I think you will have to buy it online.
Here's pictures of them :-

think i´ll follow nom´s advice and get the scholl foot files. the ped eggs sound overrated, and a little pricey to deliver to spain. at least scholl is an international product.
