Driving after foot operation

My oh may have a foot op on 22nd Oct and will be in plaster, on crutches and off work for 2 months. Will he be able to drive on 15th Nov? I have tickets for a concert in Cardiff so he would have to drive an over an hour to get there, sit for 2 hours and then drive back. I would crawl over broken glass to get there, if need be but buses,trains etc are a bit erratic and I would have to stay the night and forfeit the other ticket.
Can he drive or am I just being selfish?!

Which foot ? If it's your left then maybe you could borrow an automatic for the gig if you know someone that has one and will lend you it for the day.

If it's the left foot as AP says get an automatic..........however, if I'd just had a foot operation you wouldn't get me anywhere near a crowd.

Thanks, AP. I think it's his right so he probably will have to brake etc. I can't drive so i'm no help when it comes to these engine-powered-thingies! Maybe he could hit the pedals with his crutch!

I wouldn´t drive you with my foot in plaster 3weeks after an operation and to me it would be a good and reasonable excuse to get out of the concert ;-)

you can't drive safely with plaster on your foot - you need to be able to feel the pedals

DrFilth, how did you know!?

I've travelled longer and to worse places by myself to see him and got totally lost. Wrong underground connections, getting back home just in time to go to work, sleeping in train stations etc. OH doesn't really like him but will tolerate it as long as I'm 'safe'. Oh well, plan B. Bus/train timetables or crawling over broken glass! By hook or by crook, I will get my man!
