Total Cholesterol is fine
By "blood" I guess that you mean a random blood sugar level....a bit high, but no big deal. Do a bit of exercise, lose a bit of weight and you will be fine.
I recently went for a diabetes test and my results came out at 6.3. I was told that when the reading goes over 6, the docs get a bit twitchy. So he sent me for a glucose tolerance test.....fast for 12 hours then have a blood test. Drink a high glucose drink then wait 2 hours. Then have another blood test.

My results came out at 8.1. Apparently, you're diabetic if you're 11 or higher.
It's lower than 11. I was diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes when mine was 7.8. I now average 6.5 but am stilled classed as diabetic.

Hammerman, Im surprised at the 11 figure, I was told i had gestational diabetes (pregnancy related) with a figure of just 7. 11 seems very high after a GTT

blimey....this is only what i got back from my doctor. My wife had the same tests done and she was about 9 and yet still not diagnosed with diabetes. She used a different doctor too.
perhaps gestaitonal diabetes is diagnosed at a lower figure because of damage it can cause baby if not checked
