Sweet taste in mouth

I keep having a sweet taste in my mouth, like I've eaten a bowl of sugary cereal. Any thoughts? And n- I haven't just eaten a bowl of sugar.

this may sound daft but you don't have a leaking dental filling maybe? I had a strange taste (a thousand years ago) and after a visit to the dentist it stopped. Have to be honest and say I can't really remember if it was a sweet taste or not but as I don't like sweet things it could well have been what prompted me to go to the dentist.

No medication.
I am at that 'awkward age' - no periods for the last year or so, but nothing to complain about, just the odd hot flush.

puzzled it could well be associated with the menopause, but as 237SJ suggests, get your bloods checked out by your GP.
